In recent years, we have begun to see women in the maritime sector as an opportunity to bring additional workforce on board to exploit growth opportunities. At the same time, real-life accounts show that the treatment of women in such a traditional industry as the maritime sector has continued to repeat gender roles that have been belittling women for centuries.
